Israeli police on Thursday evening raided Palestinian homes in Silwan town in Jerusalem arrested two Palestinians and summoned others for interrogation.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli police arrested Palestinian brothers Diaa and Mohammed Baidoun in Wadi Hilweh neighborhood in Silwan after violently breaking into their home.
The two brothers were later transferred to an Israeli detention center in Jerusalem.
During the same raid the Israeli police handed Maher Mheis and Ahmad Derbas orders to appear before the Israel Intelligence Service for interrogation.
Mheis as scout leader said that he was summoned over preparations and services he is leading for Muslim worshipers who are supposed to return to al-Aqsa Mosque Sunday the day the holy site will be reopened following a two-month closure.
