Jewish settlers protected by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday expropriated a vast tract of Palestinian land in an area between the towns of Deir Dibwan and Rammun in the east of Ramallah.
Deir Dibwan mayor Mansour Mansour said that dozens of settlers stormed al-Muzayri’ah area which is a vast space of land between Deir Dibwan and Rammun and embarked on bulldozing about 47 dunums of land under military protection.
Mayor Mansour added that the seized land belongs to local residents from the towns of Dier Dibwan and Rammun pointing out the IOF prevented landowners from going to al-Muzayri’ah area to protect their lands.
The mayor urged all the residents who own lands in the seized area and around it to go to the competent authorities in their areas to have their names registered as a prelude to seeking legal and official help to bring back their lands.
In a separate incident the IOF demolished an agricultural structure on a Palestinian-owned farm located in the areas of Kafr Atiya and Khilat al-Khashaba in southern Nablus. The farm belongs to a local resident called Marwan Shawkat.
