Vast tracts of Palestinian-owned fields were destroyed on Friday in attacks by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the West Bank districts of Nablus and Jenin.
Activist Ghassan Daghlas said that various crops which are the livelihood of a number of Palestinian farmers were completely destroyed in a fire deliberately started by Jewish settlers near Urif town in Nablus.
Meanwhile in Jenin Israeli occupation forces raided Ya’bad town amid heavy firing of tear gas canisters.
Local residents said that a huge fire broke out when Israeli bombs fell in nearby farmlands damaging at least 120 olive trees.
At least five Israeli arson attacks targeting privately-owned Palestinian fields in the West Bank have been reported over the past week.
