A number of Palestinian citizens including children were injured on Friday afternoon when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled an anti-settlement demonstration and attacked homes in Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqilya.

Activist Murad Shtewi said that the IOF heavily fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at the peaceful demonstrators wounding many of them.

He added that tear gas bombs fired by the IOF fell inside the house of Palestinian citizen Diaa Shtewi. His three kids Adam 6 Ayham 4 and Ahmad who is still a baby as well as his wife suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas.

Shtewi’s family were treated by the Palestinian Red Crescent crews in the field.

Dozens of Palestinians took part in Kafr Qaddum’s weekly demonstration on Friday to protest Israel’s plan to annex the Jordan Valley and large parts of the West Bank.
