A Palestinian fisherman was wounded on Friday morning when Israeli navy opened fire at fishing boats in Gaza waters.
Palestinian Fishermen Committee said that Mohammed Abu Amira 26 was injured with a rubber-coated steel bullet to the head when Israeli naval forces heavily opened fire at a group of fishermen sailing off Gaza’s shore.
According to the committee. Abu Amira who lost his fishing net and other equipment in the attack was transferred to a hospital for treatment.
Abu Amira is the tenth Palestinian fisherman to be injured in an Israeli navy attack since March 2020.
A few days ago Israeli navy arrested two fishermen and seized their boats.
