Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Sunday talked over the phone with Palestinian premier Mohamed Shtayyeh and discussed with him the implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are united in one trench facing this pandemic” Haneyya told Shtayyeh stressing that his Movement is deeply concerned about the safety of all Palestinians at home and abroad.
The Hamas leader stressed the importance of pooling the Palestinian efforts to confront the epidemic highlighting the situation in Gaza its needs under the blockade and what the Palestinian government could do to help the population in the coastal enclave in such difficult times.
He called for necessarily sparing the efforts to fight coronvirus any political differences affirming that his Movement would assume its responsibility to the fullest towards its people wherever they are.
