Violent clashes broke out on Wednesday in Shu’fat refugee camp east of Occupied Jerusalem after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed a popular conference held in solidarity with Sheikh Ekrima Sabri and in protest at the US administration’s peace deal.
According to local sources Israeli police and intelligence forces stormed the location of the conference which was called for by noted Jerusalemite families and forced the participants to leave the venue.
The IOF also handed some participants summonses for interrogation over their organization of the event.
Soon later skirmishes erupted between Israeli soldiers and local youths upon the former’s withdrawal from the place.
