Several Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure totear gas fumes during clashes on Wednesday evening with the Israeli occupationforces (IOF) at the main entrance to Beita town south of Nablus in thenorthern West Bank.
Beita mayor Fouad Ma’aali said that Israeli soldiersintensively fired tear gas and stun canisters at young men protesting the USdeal of the century at the entrance to his town.
Ma’aali added that seven young men suffered from inhalingtear gas and received on-site medical assistance.
He pointed out that the IOF deployed concrete blocks on bothsides of the main road leading to the town a few days ago.
Similar violent clashes also broke out in Azzun town in theeast of Qalqilya after local youths threw fire bombs at Jewish settlers’ carson a road near the main entrance to the town.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian InformationCenter (PIC) that some private cars and one bus carrying settlers caught fireand sustained damage.
