A number of Palestinian citizens were injured and a journalist was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during a raid on al-Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil on Saturday night.
Local sources said that the IOF heavily fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at Palestinian houses in the camp.
A number of Palestinian citizens suffered breathing difficulties as a result of inhaling tear gas and were treated in the field.
The IOF further broke into the house of journalist Thaer al-Sharif and attacked his family with pepper gas.
The IOF later detained al-Sharif and transferred him to an undeclared destination.
