Two West Bankers injured one seriously by Israeli gunfire

A Palestinian young man was injured and detained on Wednesday evening after Israeli soldiers opened fire at him in southern Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

The Hebrew media claimed that a young driver tried to carry out a stabbing attack on a road at the Khader junction in southern Bethlehem after soldiers stopped his car and wanted to search him.

Israel’s Channel 7 said that soldiers at the checkpoint opened fire at the young man in his lower extremities and arrested him.

The young man reportedly suffered moderate bullet injuries.

In a separate incident another Palestinian young man was seriously wounded on the same day when Israeli forces opened fire at him in Aqabat Hasna area at the western entrance of Bethlehem countryside.

The Palestinian health ministry said that a young man who suffered a serious bullet injury in his pelvis and other shrapnel wounds in the chest and abdomen was rushed to the Arab Society Hospital in Beit Jala.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation forces kidnaped a young man on a road at the northern entrance of Jericho City. He was identified as 22-year-old Saddam al-Omar the brother of two prisoners in Israeli jails.
