Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian citizens observed on Friday the Eid al-Fitr payer and khutba (sermon) in plazas and Mosques of the Gaza Strip.
The worshipers flocked in groups and individually to areas and mosques earmarked for Eid prayers while chanting “Takbeerat al-Eid.”
During the Eid khutbas the preachers highlighted the importance of Jerusalem and the Aqsa and stressed the need to defend and protect them.
The preachers applauded the steadfastness and courage of Jerusalemites and Muslim worshipers during the last Israeli aggression against the Aqsa Mosque.
They also urged the congregations to visit their relatives and support the families of martyrs and prisoners during this blessed day.
