The Israeli authorities demolished on Monday morning five Palestinian homes in Ar’ara town in northern Israel (1948 occupied Palestine) at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources Israeli demolition crews escorted by police forces stormed an area on the outskirts of Ar’ara and knocked down five houses belonging to the family of al-Ghoul.
The families who lived in those houses were rendered homeless as a result of the Israeli measure.
As is the case in the West Bank and Jerusalem Palestinian houses and structures in the Arab cities and towns in Israel are a frequent target for demolition as the Israeli authorities make it very difficult for its Arab citizens to obtain building permits.
