The death toll as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip climbed to 687 martyrs including 140 children and 105 women the Palestinian Health Ministry declared in a press release issued on Monday evening.
3726 people were also injured in the aerial and artillery bombardment 10% of them were children the ministry added.
The number of casualties is likely to rise as the Israeli army continues to bombard the densely-populated coastal enclave.
The health ministry affirmed that medical teams are still working with all their capacities to save dozens of serious and critical cases in operating rooms and intensive care units activating the emergency plan in all the hospitals and health facilities.
The Israeli attacks also flattened residential buildings in giant explosions including nine hospitals and medical facilities.
Five medical personnel were killed and ten others injured in the attacks while 11 ambulances were targeted.
According to the statement the Israeli warplanes directly targeted the nursery department of the Shifa Medical Complex causing huge damage.
The health ministry called on all relief organizations around the world to act immediately and provide urgent relief to the Gaza Strip.
