The Hamas Movement has offered its heartfelt condolences over the passing of fellow journalist and academic Khaled Amayreh from Dura City in al-Khalil.
In press remarks on Thursday senior Hamas official Ezzat al-Resheq said that his Movement received with great sadness and pain the news about the passing of journalist Amayreh adding that he died after a life full of journalistic and academic achievements that served the Palestinian people and their national cause.
Resheq also recalled with great appreciation Amayreh’s distinguished journalistic contributions and his presence in foreign media to defend the Palestinian cause.
For its part the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) mourned journalist Amayreh who passed away on Wednesday as a result of a heart attack.
Amayreh had worked as a journalist and writer for the English website of PIC and he was considered one of the most prominent Palestinian writers who worked for different foreign media outlets and addressed the world in English language in defense of the Palestinian cause.
