Jewish settlers and Israeli forces built at dawn Wednesday a road on swaths of Palestinian-owned land in Kafr ad-Dik town west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.
Kafr ad-Dik mayor Mohamed Naji said that settlers escorted by soldiers used bulldozers to build a 300-meter road in al-Diriyah area of the town adding that this road leads to the illegal settlement of Peduel.
Naji pointed out the swaths of land that were bulldozed belong to Palestinian citizens identified as Othman Taha Ahmed Ali and Atallah Abu Allawi.
The mayor warned that the construction of this new settler road means that the Israeli occupation authority would seize more swaths of land around it.
Meanwhile Israeli forces clashed with local residents in the area and fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at them as they were trying to stop the construction of the road.
