Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem has warned that the marches that are organized by extremist Jewish settlers in the Old City of Jerusalem would lead to serious repercussions.
In press remarks on Wednesday Sheikh Sabri said that settler groups organize flag marches in the holy city in order to confirm the Jewish presence in the area describing such marches as &ldquopart of the escalating Israeli religious war on the Jerusalemites.&rdquo
For its part the Jerusalemite Commission Against Judaization said that the settler marches that are organized provocatively at the Aqsa Mosque’s gates are aimed at creating a &ldquomass Jewish influx&rdquo in the area.
Head of the commission Nasser al-Hadmi warned that the Israeli occupation state and its extremist Jewish groups seek to sow despair in the hearts of Jerusalemites in an attempt to make them feel unable to confront the settler masses around the Aqsa Mosque.
On Tuesday evening extremist Jewish groups staged a provocative flag march near the Aqsa Mosque’s gates to mark what they call the destruction of the temple.
