Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning and later in the afternoon.
According to al-Qastal News website at least 128 settlers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.
A number of settlers escorted by police officers also gathered in the eastern area of the Mosque and embarked on performing Talmudic prayers.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police continued to impose restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the Mosque and harassed a number of them during their presence in its courtyards and the entrances leading to it.
In a separate incident a horde of settlers assaulted three Palestinian young men and injured them in a public park in al-Thawri neighborhood east of Jerusalem.
Local sources said that the wounded young men were transferred to a hospital in the holy city adding that one of them was injured in his head when a settler attacked him with a sharp object.
