The global campaign called &ldquoPalestine is my compass&rdquo in Türkiye on Tuesday started the activities of the second week of the online conference in support of Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The activities which include online and face-to-face meetings are set to continue until the 21st of August.
During the online conference Sheikh Najeh Bakirat deputy head of the Islamic Awqaf Administration in Occupied Jerusalem explained the role of the Islamic Awqaf in preserving the Islamic identity of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
For his part the Jerusalemite researcher Abdullah Ma&rsquorouf stressed that the Israeli occupation is trying to change the identity of Jerusalem by obliterating its landmarks.
Meanwhile the Palestinian writer Lama Khatir affirmed that the Israeli and Jewish settlers&rsquo attacks aim to deter the Palestinian people from resisting the Israeli occupation.
Moreover Somaya Jawabreh journalist and monitor at the Palestine data center underlined that Israel has been escalating its violations against the Palestinian people adding that 2703 attacks had been carried out in Jerusalem since the beginning of 2023.
More than 52 countries participated in the activities of the conference which comes as part of the campaign launched by the Global Coalition in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine.
