The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) on Monday decided to impose new punitive measures on Palestinian prisoners in the Negev desert prison.
In a press statement on Monday evening Asra Media Office said that the IPS decided to prevent the entry of clothes for the Palestinian prisoners held in Negev prison for six months.
&ldquoThe decision comes as part of a systematic campaign launched by the fascist Israeli government against Palestinian prisoners&rdquo the office underlined.
It pointed out that Palestinian prisoners decided to return their meals and close the sections starting from Tuesday as part of a plan proposed by the National Captive Movement to confront the new punitive measures.
The National Captive Movement had announced the suspension of a collective hunger strike inside Israeli prisons as the Israeli decision to reduce family visits to Palestinian prisoners was reversed.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir had imposed punitive measures on prisoners including depriving them of adequate bathroom usage the repeated raids by the Israeli occupation forces denying family visit and other abuses.
Around 5200 Palestinian citizens including 33 women 180 minors 700 patients and 1200 administrative detainees are currently held in 23 Israeli jails or detention centers.
