Salah returns from Turkey with positive suggestions to protect Aqsa

Saturday 2-December-2006

Head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands Sheikh Raed Salah has returned Friday from a two-week-long trip to Turkey bearing with him a number of what he described as “positive suggestions” to help protect the Aqsa Mosque.

Salah and his Movement are known for tremendous efforts they exert to protect the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem city from the Israeli conspiracies against them.

Upon his arrival to Um Al-Faham city in the 1948-occupied Palestinian lands Salah affirmed that he met with Turkish civil societies businessmen and politicians and briefed them on the current status of occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque and ways and means to protect them against the malicious Israeli conspiracies.

“During the activities we held in support of the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem in Turkey we indeed felt that there was a sincere feeling on the part of the Turkish people towards those two places” Salah underlined.

In the same context Jerusalem affairs’ unit in the PA information ministry urged the PA presidency and PA premiership to give more attention to the issue of the Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem amidst relentless Israeli efforts to judaize them.

The unit enumerated a number of flagrant violations committed by the Israeli occupation government and Jewish fanatics in clear undermining of international laws and conventions.

The Hebrew state was limiting numbers of Palestinians inside the Mosque and banning all Palestinians below 45 years old from performing their religious duties in the holy Mosque.

Israeli fanatic gangs attempted more than once over the past years to storm and defile the Aqsa Mosque; but vigilant Palestinian citizens encouraged by the Salah’s group thwarted all those attempts and preserved sanctity of the Mosque.
