Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida vowed that Gaza would be a graveyard for the occupation stressing that 22 Israeli army vehicles had been destroyed so far.
“Our defensive operation continues in fact it is in its early stages. We have promised the enemy that Gaza will be its graveyard for its soldiers leadership and politicians. And that this defeat will become the end of the political career of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu” Abu Obeida said in a televised address.
He pointed out that the Israeli army attempted to enter Gaza from three different areas concentrated mostly in the northwest of Gaza – the Beit Lahia axis.
“Our Resistance fighters have engaged with the enemy in fierce fighting resulting in the destruction of 22 military vehicles and the killing and wounding of many invading soldiers” he added.
He further pointed out that Al-Qassem fighters have relied on the Yassin 105 anti-artillery shells among other weapons that have surprised the enemy.
“The Resistance naval force has introduced to the battle the Al-Asif guided torpedo which has engaged with the Israeli military navy causing much damage.”
Abu Obeida also called on “the fighters of this nation everywhere to take the opportunity of this legendary fight and to join the battle the starting point of the liberation battle.”
Concerning the Israeli narrative of freeing an Israeli female soldier Abu Obeida denied that a single hostage with Al-Qassam has been freed.
“If it happened it would have happened with individual parties that held enemy prisoners and we said at the beginning of the battle that there were a number of captives held by other members of our people” he clarified.
He also revealed that Al-Qassam Brigades will be freeing some of the foreigners held in Gaza in the coming days.
“We have informed intermediaries that we will release a certain number of foreigners in the next few days” he elaborated.
Addressing the Palestinian people Abu Obeida said: “Raise your heads high as you are defeating one of the most oppressive Nazi regimes in the world today. Be very proud as others will hang their heads in shame for failing to stand with you in this big battle against injustice.”
