Israeli army settlers raze Palestinian historic homes near Bethlehem

Thursday 2-November-2023

The Israeli occupation army and a horde of extremist settlers demolished on Wednesday 17 ancient homes near Bethlehem.

Hasan Bureijiya director of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said that Israeli soldiers and settlers knocked down 17 historic houses in the ancient village of Shushahla near Bethlehem.

Bureijiya added that the razed homes had been built around 200 years ago.

The Israeli army also bulldozed agricultural structures and uprooted about 50 olive and almond trees and grapevines.

Shushahla is a small village located near the illegal Gush Etzion settlement bloc and between Jerusalem Bethlehem and al-Khalil. Most of the Palestinian families living in the village had been displaced during the past years due to settler attacks.
