55 West Bankers kidnaped by IOF in overnight raids

As part of its recent large-scale arrest campaign the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and at dawn Friday dozens of Palestinian citizens including journalists in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society the IOF carried out violent raids on homes and arrested at least 55 citizens in different areas of the West Bank including al-Khalil Ramallah Nablus Jenin Tulkarem Jericho and Jerusalem.

In Ramallah the IOF kidnaped senior Hamas official Jamal at-Tawil from his home in Bireh City after assaulting him.

In Jenin the IOF kidnaped four brothers from the family of Diyab after raiding their homes in Kafr Ra’iee town in an attempt to pressure their brother Bilal to turn himself in. The IOF had already kidnaped his wife and two of his brothers for the same purpose.

In Tulkarem seven citizens were reportedly taken prisoners during IOF raids on homes in different suburbs of the city.

The IOF also kidnaped a university professor called Ghassan Badran from his home in Nablus City and seven brothers from the family of Yousef Hasan after raiding their homes in Qusra village south of the city.

In al-Khalil several citizens were kidnaped from different areas of the province.
 
In east Jerusalem Israeli police forces assaulted a teenage girl identified as Jannat at-Tawil and her brother before kidnaping her from her house.
