The death toll from Israeli bombardments in the Gaza Strip has risen to 9770 the health ministry in the embattled coastal enclave stated on Sunday.
“The death toll as a result of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7 is 9770 people including 4800 children and 2550 women” the ministry said in a statement.
“270 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza within the last 24 hours” the statement added.
The statement pointed out that the health ministry received 2660 reports of missing persons including 1270 children who are still buried under the rubble.
Every day the Israeli army escalates its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip which has been under relentless bombardment since a cross-border operation by Hamas’s armed wing al-Qassam Brigades on October 7.
Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people vital supplies especially water fuel food and different medical needs are running low for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade.
