Tuesday 28-November-2006

The AMB-Jund Allah group an armed offshoot of the Fatah faction on Tuesday paraded a number of homemade rockets in one of the suburbs of the Old City of Nablus along with other locally made weapons.

The AMB said that the new rocket called Jund-1 is capable of carrying a 30-kilogram explosive warhead and has a range of five kilometers.

It said that those rockets would be fired at the opportune time against Israeli occupation targets adding that it was ready to abide by the truce announced by Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip in return for Israeli reciprocity.

The AMB statement read by one of its fighters affirmed that releasing Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails was the topmost condition for a ceasefire.

Meanwhile the armed wing of the PFLP took the credit for destroying an IOF Hummer Jeep in Balata refugee camp east of Nablus city.

In various IOF troops’ incursions in the West Bank on Tuesday more than 20 Palestinians were rounded up while a teenager was wounded in Al-Khalil’s Arub refugee camp.
