Qassam missiles force Israeli war minister into a bomb shelter

Friday 24-November-2006

Nazareth – The Israeli war minister Amir Peretz who is a resident of the Sderot Jewish settlement was forced to hide inside a bomb shelter during a Palestinian resistance attack on the settlement using home made missiles according to Israeli sources.

Hebrew electronic media reported that Peretz was about to get into his car on his way to meet the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem when he was advised by his body guards hide inside a bomb shelter because of the attack which was announced by the Qassam Brigades.

The firing of the home made missiles coincided with a visit arranged by the Israeli foreign minister for a number of ambassadors to the settlement to see for themselves the damage caused by the Palestinian home made missiles.

The Qassam Brigades had announced that they have improved their home made missiles to reach further and to carry a larger quantity of explosives.

One of the body guards of the Israeli war minister was wounded last week in a similar attack and the war minister himself is facing losing his job and his leadership of the Labor Party for failing to deal with the threat of these primitive missiles.
