The Israeli occupation army demolished on Tuesday five Palestinian homes in Masafer Yatta area in southern al-Khalil at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources two bulldozers escorted by Israeli soldiers demolished an inhabited house in the Bedouin community of Ma’in belonging to Hamad Issa.
Four other homes were also destroyed by the Israeli army in Khirbet Sha’ab al Butum hamlet belonging to four citizens from the family of Jabarin.
Meanwhile another Masafer Yatta resident was able to extract an Israeli court order through a lawyer freezing a demolition measure against his house according to local official Rateb al-Jabour.
In a separate incident the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) closed the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil to Muslim worshipers on Tuesday.
Director of the Mosque Ghassan al-Rajbi said that the IOF closed the Mosque and kidnaped a Palestinian young woman after assaulting her in the Old City.
