Two Palestinian young men were injured and two others were arrested on Saturday morning after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked citizens protesting the establishment of a new settler outpost in Badiyat Yatta area in southern al-Khalil.
Local sources reported that violent clashes broke out between Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces in az-Zuwaidin area near the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta.
They added that local residents decided to organize the protest after an extremist Jewish settler seized about 10 dunums of their land in Badiyat Yatta area placed mobile homes on the land and brought his sheep for grazing under military protection.
As a result of the presence of this outpost the IOF prevented local residents and shepherds from entering the area and using water wells belonging to them.
Medical sources reported that two young protesters suffered injuries after they were hit by stun grenades during the events. Two others were also arrested by the IOF.
