A Palestinian young man was seriously injured at dawn Wednesday during violent clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Balata refugee camp east of Nablus.
The Red Crescent said that one of its ambulance crews transferred a young man in his 20s to Rafidia Hospital after he suffered from a serious bullet injury in Balata camp.
According to local sources special Israeli troops stormed the camp and encircled the house of a wanted resistance fighter called Abdullah Abu Shallal provoking clashes with local youths.
As more soldiers were dispatched to the camp during the events the IOF embarked on breaking into and ransacking a number of homes amid sounds of explosions.
Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF went on the rampage through the house of Abu Shallal destroying everything inside it.
There was no information if the IOF was able to find and arrest Abu Shallal.
In a related context a resistance group said that its fighters showered the Israeli forces with a volley of bullets during their raid on the camp damaging one of their vehicles.
