Dozens of Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas on Saturday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) suppressed a march organized in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.
According to local sources the participants in the march were protesting Jewish settlers’ appropriation of swaths of Palestinian-owned land in Zuwaidin area in Masafer Yatta.
The IOF reportedly detained photojournalist Mashhur al-Wahwah who works for WAFA news agency for several hours in the area before releasing him.
The protesters marched from nearby villages to Zuwaidin area where they rallied and chanted slogans against settlement activities in Masafer Yatta before the IOF started to attack them.
