Hamas mourns three Jenin martyrs calls them “heroes”

Saturday 14-January-2023

The Hamas Movement has mourned two Palestinian martyrs who were shot dead today in southern Jenin and another one who succumbed to a serious bullet injury he sustained in early January describing them as “heroes.”

In a statement on Saturday Hamas urged the Palestinian masses to continue their struggle against the Israeli occupation and to escalate their confrontation with its forces with might and main.

“The ongoing aggressive and criminal policy that is pursued by this fascist government against our land our people and our holy sites will not provide it with alleged security on our land in our Jerusalem and at our Aqsa Mosque nor can such a policy succeed in breaking our people’s will of steadfastness and resistance in all arenas” Hamas said.

The Movement called for massive popular participation in the funerals of those three martyrs to show loyalty to the sacrifices they made and to the resistance option.

In another statement Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem applauded Jenin and its “valiant” resistance for continuing to fight the occupation and make great sacrifices for the sake of their national cause.

“The undying epic that continues to take place in Jenin and other Palestinian areas is the fuel for victory and liberation and will remain a witness to our people’s ability to make sacrifices and to their unbreakable will” the spokesman added.

Two Palestinian young men were shot dead at dawn Saturday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) showered the vehicle they were aboard with bullets at the junction of Jaba town in southern Jenin.

Local media reports said that 24-year-old Izzuddin Hamamra and 23-year-old Amjad Khaliliya were killed following armed clashes with Israeli forces near Jaba town.

Earlier at dawn 19-year-old Yazan al-Jabari from Yamun town in Jenin was also proclaimed dead at Ibn Sina Hospital after he succumbed to a serious bullet injury he sustained in early January when the IOF opened fire at young men during clashes with them in Kafr Dan town in western Jenin.
