The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) and Jewish settlers resumed on Sunday their bulldozing activities on al-Hamra land which they seized last month in the east Jerusalem district of Silwan.
According to local sources bulldozers belonging to settler groups embarked on uprooting trees on the plot of land which is located in the north of Ein Silwan Mosque in Wadi Hilweh neighborhood south of the Aqsa Mosque.
Recently the Elad settler group announced that it launched its Judaization project on al-Hamra land in Silwan.
Elad settler group also known as Ir David Foundation is one of the Israeli occupation state’s arms that steal Palestinian real estate including plots of land owned by Palestinians who fled from Israeli crimes in 1948 or 1967.
The pro-settlement Israeli association was established in 1986 and has been operating mainly in Silwan south of the Old City and the Aqsa Mosque.
