A number of Palestinian citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas on Monday evening during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Ya’bad town southwest of Jenin.
According to local sources the IOF intensively fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at local youths as well as at homes and property during the events in the town.
In a separate incident a horde of extremist settlers hurled rocks at Palestinian vehicles traveling on a road near Huwara town in southern Nablus causing damage to some of them.
Local official Ghassan Daghlas said that a settler tried to ram his car into a journalist who was covering the stone-throwing attack on Palestinian cars in the area adding that the settlers closed the road between Huwara and Qalqilya for several hours.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police closed in the evening the Shuafat checkpoint in the northeast of Jerusalem and prevented Palestinian citizens from traveling in both directions of the road.
