Jerusalemite activist Khadija Khuwais has affirmed that the Israeli policy of arresting Muslim worshipers and banishing them from the Aqsa Mosque will not dissuade them from continuing to defend and protect it against settler violations.
In press remarks on Thursday Khuwais said that the Israeli occupation state fabricates different pretexts to justify the use of such policy with the aim of emptying the Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards of Muslim worshipers.
She added that such a policy also aims to neutralize the influence of Aqsa defenders inside and outside the Mosque.
An Israeli court extended on Wednesday the detention of Jerusalemite activist Hinadi al-Halawani until Friday. She was arrested at dawn Tuesday after police officers went on the rampage through her house in the holy city.
A few days ago Halawani received a court order banning her travel for one renewable month.
Halawani is a noted Jerusalemite activist and one of the Aqsa Mosque teachers who are exposed to constant persecution and detention by the Israeli police and intelligence.
Because of her supportive positions on the Aqsa Mosque she has been summoned arrested interrogated and assaulted by the Israeli police several times before. The police also banned her entry to the Mosque and her travel abroad many times.
Hinadi Halawani is one of many Jerusalemite women whose medical insurance has been revoked because of their activities in defense of the Aqsa Mosque.
