Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas revealed on Sunday that it had seized a multi-rotor drone (hexacopter) belonging to the Israeli occupation army during the recent aggression against the Gaza Strip.
“Al-Qassam Brigades was able to capture at dawn Friday January 27 2023 an Israeli drone that was on a special mission inside the Gaza Strip” the Brigades said in a statement on its website.
“Our engineers were able to deal with the drone and extract important and sensitive information related to the occupation forces from it” the Brigades added.
The Israeli occupation army had kept the disappearance of this drone secret until the armed wing of Hamas announced it was in their possession.
A spokesperson for the Israeli army admitted on Sunday that such a drone landed in Gaza during an operational activity last Friday affirming that there were Israeli fears of information leakage.
