Palestinian citizens in Occupied Jerusalem went on a general strike on Tuesday in protest at the Israeli home demolition policy.
Meanwhile dozens of Palestinian youths confronted the Israeli bulldozers which stormed Jabal Al-Mukabir town south of Jerusalem as a prelude to destroying several houses including the house of the Bashir family.
The Israeli bulldozers have begun the process of demolishing 14 Palestinian houses in Jerusalem implementing the Israeli Cabinet’s orders.
Spokesman of Hamas for Occupied Jerusalem Muhammad Hamadeh has called for mobilizing against the Israeli home demolition campaigns in Jabal Al-Mukabir town.
In a press statement on Tuesday spokesman Hamadeh hailed the Palestinian youths for confronting the Israeli bulldozers and blocking their way to the town stressing that the Palestinian people will continue confronting the Israeli crimes until they regain their rights and lands.
Around 800 Palestinian structures are facing the threat of demolition by the Israeli municipality in favor of constructing 500 new illegal settlement units in addition to establishing shopping centers according to the Follow-up Committee in Jabal Al-Mukabir town.
