Thursday 2-February-2023

The Israeli occupation army demolished on Thursday morning two Palestinian homes in Duma village southeast of Nablus.

Duma mayor Suleiman Dawabsheh said that Israeli bulldozers escorted by Israeli forces stormed the eastern area of the village and embarked on knocking down the two houses which belonged to local residents.

Dawabsheh added that the Israeli army justified the measure by claiming that the houses were unlicensed and located in Area C of the West Bank which is under full Israeli control.

During the demolitions violent clashes broke out between local residents and the Israeli occupation forces.

According to WAFA news agency one of its journalists suffered a rubber bullet injury and many others suffered from their exposure to tear gas during the events.

In a separate incident the Israeli authorities demolished on the same day a house belonging to the family of Abu Kaff in Umm Bateen village in the Negev at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The Israeli authorities also bulldozed swaths of land and uprooted trees belonging to the family of al-Huzayel family in ad-Dahiya village in the north of al-Rahat City in the Negev.
