The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) extended the administrative detention of the Palestinian blind detainee Izz al-Din Amarneh for four additional months.
Family sources affirmed that the Salem military court extended the administrative detention of Amarneh 52 for four months.
Amarneh’s 6-month administrative detention was scheduled to end on February 9. However it was extended for four additional months.
Amarneh was detained on February 21 2022 after Israeli occupation forces brutally stormed and searched his family house in Ya’bad town in Jenin.
He was arrested 12 times since 1994 spending a total of eight years in administrative detention.
Amarneh is the only blind detainee in Israeli prisons.
His two sons and daughter were all detained in Israeli jails while his wife was denied from traveling to perform Umrah.
