The Hamas Movement has condemned the incitement campaign launched by Israeli media against Sheikh Ekrima Sabri the head of the higher Islamic commission in Occupied Jerusalem and the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a press statement on Saturday spokesman of Hamas for Occupied Jerusalem Muhammad Hamadeh said that such Israeli campaigns aim at curbing the influence of Sheikh Sabri in addition to seizing control of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and imposing spatial and temporal division on the holy site.
The Movement hailed Sheikh Sabri for his efforts in defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque stressing that such Israeli campaigns will not break his determination.
It held Israel fully responsible for the repercussions of the campaign against Sheikh Sabri affirming that Palestinian youths will follow his footsteps in protecting the Palestinian lands and holy sites.
