Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya sent a message of condolence to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the deadly quake that hit the country earlier Monday.
“We in Hamas Movement extend our sincere condolences to and sympathy with the Republic of Türkiye over the deadly earthquake that left human losses and material damage” Haneyya said.
May Allah shower the deceased with His mercy grant the wounded speedy recovery and protect Türkiye from harm the Hamas leader added.
He further called on the international relief and humanitarian agencies to act urgently to provide emergency relief assistance to the affected persons.
Earlier at dawn Monday a massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit southern Türkiye and northern Syria leaving hundreds killed and injured.
