The Hamas Movement has welcomed the final statement of the Arab League’s Jerusalem conference that was held in Cairo stressing that it reflected an awareness of the importance and stature of the holy city and the gravity of the Israeli settlement and Judaization plans targeting it.
In a statement on Tuesday the Movement appreciated the stated positions of the Arab countries at the conference and called for translating its closing statement into practical and concrete steps in order to protect Occupied Jerusalem against Israeli vandalism and the attempts to Judaize its historic landmarks and impose new faits accomplis on the ground.
It also called for necessarily adopting an urgent plan to strengthen the Palestinian people’s steadfastness in Jerusalem and across Palestine.
