The Israeli occupation police stormed Shuafat refugee camp in east Jerusalem on Monday night and raided a house belonging to the family of the Palestinian kid who allegedly carried out a stabbing attack near the Shuafat checkpoint.
According to local sources police officers kidnaped the kid’s parents and two of his brothers following the raid on their home in Shuafat camp.
During the police raid local youths hurled stones at the officers who responded by firing rubber bullets tear gas canisters and stun grenades.
The boy 13-year-old Mohamed al-Zalbani was reportedly shot at and slightly injured near the Shuafat checkpoint on Monday evening. The police claimed he carried out a stabbing attack.
According to the Israeli claims a border police officer and another security guard boarded a bus that arrived at the checkpoint in order to question the passengers heading into Occupied Jerusalem when a teenager pulled out a knife.
The police said the teenager managed to stab the officer and wound him.
The security guard then opened fire at the kid inside the bus but a bullet accidentally hit the border police officer who died later.
