Thursday 16-February-2023

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Wednesday a Palestinian house and delivered demolition notices against other homes and one Mosque in the West Bank at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

Local official Fuaad al-Amour said that Israeli bulldozers escorted by Israeli soldiers demolished the house of Othman al-Jabbarin in the Bedouin community of Sha’ab al-Batum in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil.

The IOF also notified a local resident in Masafer Yatta of its intent to raze his home and delivered a stop-work order against another house under construction.

Israeli bulldozers also uprooted about 10 olive saplings in Khilat ad-Daba area in Masafer Yatta which were planted after the IOF demolished a school two years ago on the same spot.

Meanwhile the IOF delivered a demolition notice against a small Mosque in Umm Sa’eid area in the village of Marah Mualla south of Bethlehem.

In another incident the Israeli army prevented the municipality of Ya’bad town west of Jenin from building and rehabilitating several side roads in Amriha area and detained a Palestinian bulldozer driver.

Last Tuesday the Israeli authorities demolished four homes belonging to Palestinian families in Acre City in the northwest of 1948 occupied Palestine.

Israeli police officers also arrested three citizens from the families as they were trying to prevent the demolition of their homes.
