Monday 20-February-2023

The Israeli occupation police tightened on Monday morning its restrictions on the movement of Jerusalemite citizens especially students as they were trying to go to their destinations through the checkpoints of Shuafat and Qalandia.

According to local sources the Israeli police took harsh measures against Jerusalemite citizens at the Shuafat and Qalandia checkpoints through searching them and obstructing their movement which caused heavy build-ups of traffic.

Thousands of students also stood in long lines at the Shuafat and Qalandia checkpoints as a result of the Israeli police measures.

Israeli police forces also set up a checkpoint at the entrance of the tunnel connecting the towns of Biddu and al-Jib in the northwest of Occupied Jerusalem.

Another Israeli checkpoint was set up on a road near the Ibrahimieh College in the east Jerusalem town of as-Suwannah.

Earlier at dawn police forces stormed different areas of Jerusalem including Anata and at-Tur towns and Shuafat refugee camp amid clashes with local youths.
