IOF kidnaps several Palestinians in W. Bank raids

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night several Palestinian citizens from their homes in the West Bank amid clashes with local youths in al-Khalil.

According to local sources a number of Palestinians accused of being involved in resistance activities were kidnaped by the IOF overnight from different West Bank areas.

Meanwhile violent clashes broke out last night between Palestinian young men and Israeli forces in al-Arroub refugee camp in al-Khalil after a nearby military post was attacked with five Molotov cocktails.

Local sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed the camp fired volleys of rubber bullets stun grenades and tear gas canisters at Palestinian citizens and homes and clashed with local youths.

Several citizens in the camp reportedly suffered from their exposure to tear gas and received on-site medical assistance.

On Saturday evening the IOF kidnaped eight Palestinian citizens during raids on homes in as-Samu town south of al-Khalil.

The IOF also kidnaped last night a Palestinian young man after he allegedly opened fire at the illegal settlement of Havat Yair between Salfit and Nablus.

The Hebrew media said that the young man fled the scene after he carried out his shooting operation but he was arrested a few hours later after Israeli forces raided his home in Qarawat Bani Hassan town northwest of Salfit.

In a separate incident the IOF stormed on Sunday morning the girls’ high school of Lubban ash-Sharqiya village in southern Nablus and removed a Palestinian flag.

The school principal Aisha Nubani said that Israeli forces stormed the school and removed the Palestinian flag from the pole in its yard adding that several teachers intervened and fended off the soldiers.

Meanwhile the IOF continued for the third consecutive day to impose movement restrictions on Palestinian citizens in Nablus after they closed some checkpoints and roads.
