Two Palestinian citizens were injured on Wednesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bombed an area in the east of Khan Yunis City south of the besieged Gaza Strip.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that some Israeli bulldozers infiltrated in the morning into a border area in the east of al-Qarara town northeast of Khan Yunis and embarked on leveling and digging swaths of agricultural land.
During the IOF incursion he said resistance fighters detonated an explosive device near the infiltrating units forcing them to withdraw from the area.
Soon later Israeli tanks behind the border fence fired projectiles at an observation post and nearby fields wounding two citizens he added.
The eastern border areas of Gaza are repeatedly exposed to Israeli military incursions and gunfire attacks. Such violations cause considerable damage to crops and prevent farmers from working their lands.
