Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haneyya said that the Israeli occupation is trying in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority (PA) to eliminate the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank.
In a conference held Thursday in Algiers Haneyya pointed out that armed resistance is growing across the West Bank as a strategic option for all Palestinians.
The Al-Qassam Brigades have introduced new missiles that are able to hit Israeli targets from a further distance Haneyya added saying that “the occupation only understands the language of force.”
On the other hand Haneyya stressed that his Movement is still adherent to the Algerian declaration of Palestinian reconciliation.
Earlier Thursday Haneyya met the Speaker of the People’s Assembly Ibrahim Boghali and a number of Algerian MPs upon his arrival in Algiers at the head of a high-level delegation.
During the meeting Haneyya briefed the Algerian officials on the political and field developments in the occupied Palestinian territories especially in light of the Israeli right-wing government which plans to impose a temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also pointed to the Palestinians prisoners’ ongoing suffering in Israeli jails calling on the Algerian parliament to adopt their cause.
The Hamas leader applauded the Algerian leadership’s supportive positions towards the Palestinian people and its efforts to heal the national rift in the Palestinian arena.
