Commission 302 to Defend Refugees Rights has said that 40000 Palestinian refugees are deprived of joining UNRWA schools in the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem.
In a press statement on Friday the Commission said that this comes 50 days after the Union of UNRWA Arab Employees went on a general strike to demand a pay increase from UNRWA.
“Almost one million Palestinian refugees are deprived of the vital services of UNRWA” the Commission underlined adding that 46000 patients with noncommunicable diseases receive no treatment.
It called on UNRWA to pressure the donating countries to act urgently in order to provide Palestinian refugees with urgent assistance.
