A Palestinian family miraculously survived at dawn Sunday after a horde of Jewish settlers set its house ablaze in Sinjil town north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources settlers infiltrated at dawn into the town and threw Molotov cocktails at the house of Ahmed Awashreh where he and six members of his family lived.
Awashreh reported that he and his family survived after dozens of local residents rushed to his house and saved them.
In a separate incident the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) tightened its siege on Nablus closed many of its entrances and exits and restricted the movement of Palestinian citizens.
Local sources said that the IOF closed the Huwara checkpoint and prevented citizens from leaving Nablus City
The IOF also closed Tel al-Marba’ah and Deir Sharaf junction in western Nablus as well as Beit Furik checkpoint in eastern Nablus and Sarra checkpoint which caused heavy build-up of traffic on the roads.
Meanwhile the IOF kidnaped two young men during raids on homes in Huwara town in southern Nablus.
Two Israeli soldiers were injured on Saturday evening in a drive-by shooting near Huwara town.
