Tuesday 28-March-2023

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped last night and on Tuesday morning at least 14 Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem amid clashes with local youths and resistance fighters in some areas.

According to local sources the IOF kidnaped four young men from their homes in al-Yamun town in western Jenin and clashed with others. The troops also came under fire from resistance fighters during the same raid in the town.

In al-Khalil the IOF kidnaped two citizens from their homes in al-Arroub refugee camp.

They kidnaped another citizen from his home in as-Samu town in southern al-Khalil and confiscated some of his belongings.

Israeli forces also stormed Tarqumiyah town northwest of al-Khalil while local youths showered their vehicles with stones and blocked the town’s main entrance. No arrests have been reported during the IOF raid.

In Bethlehem three citizens were taken prisoners during an IOF raid in Husan town amid clashes with local youths.

Another citizen was kidnaped by the IOF at a makeshift checkpoint at the southern entrance of Jericho City.

In east Jerusalem Israeli police forces kidnaped Jerusalemite activist Nidham Abu Ramuz on Tuesday morning from the Aqsa Mosque and took measurements of a house belonging to the family of 13-year-old Mohamed az-Zalbani in Shuafat refugee camp as a prelude to demolishing it.

Zalbani has allegedly carried out last February a stabbing attack near Shuafat camp.

Last night police officers kidnaped two Jerusalemite young men during their presence on the main road in Kafr Aqab town. Their detention provoked clashes with local youths.
